Contact and order details: name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, order history.
Payment information: processed by our payment providers. We receive confirmation of payment and a truncated card reference. We never see or store your full card number.
Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and similar information collected through cookies and comparable technologies.
Communications: messages you send us, and marketing preferences if you subscribe.
Reviews: content you choose to submit through our reviews provider.

How we use it

To process and ship your order and handle returns; to provide customer support; to prevent fraud and secure the site; to comply with tax, customs and accounting obligations; to send marketing where you have opted in; and to understand and improve how the store performs.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed to run the store: with Shopify, which hosts this store; with payment processors; with carriers and customs brokers, who need your address and contact details to deliver and clear your parcel; with our reviews provider; with analytics providers; and with professional advisers or authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information for money.

We are based in the United Kingdom, and our service providers operate in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, Canada and the United States. Your information will therefore be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United Kingdom, where data protection law may differ from the law where you live. We rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Retention

We keep order records for as long as required for tax, customs and accounting purposes, and other information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for.

Sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA, and we do not use or disclose personal information for purposes that would require you to be offered a right to limit.

Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Some analytics and advertising cookies may nonetheless count as a “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law. Right to access a copy of the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
Right to delete personal information we have collected, subject to legal exceptions such as completing your order or keeping tax records.
Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
Right to non-discrimination: we will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or give you a lower quality of service because you exercised any of these rights.

How to exercise them. Email support@johgeeirrig.co.uk stating which right you wish to exercise. We will verify your identity by matching the details you give us against our order records, and will respond within 45 days, extendable once by a further 45 days where necessary. An authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission signed by you.

Other US states

Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas and Oregon — have comparable rights to access, correct, delete and obtain a portable copy of their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising and profiling. Use the same email address above and tell us which state you reside in. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond to the appeal within the period your state law allows.

Canada

If you are in Canada, we handle your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy law, including Quebec’s Law 25. You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and to withdraw consent to non-essential uses such as marketing. You may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to your provincial regulator, if you are not satisfied with our response.

Australia

If you are in Australia, we handle your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. You may request access to, and correction of, the personal information we hold about you. If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, contact us first so we can investigate; if you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Marketing

If you have subscribed to marketing email, you can unsubscribe using the link in any message, or by emailing us. Unsubscribing does not stop transactional email about an order you have placed.

Children

This store is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or to the law. The version published on this page is the current one.
